A frequently asked question is “What size storage unit do I need?” You can find prices and dimensions at the bottom of the “Prices & Dimensions” tab.
Based on our extensive experience, we believe that the industry-standard estimate—suggesting a storage unit size equal to 10% of your home’s floor area—is actually an underestimate. That size is often insufficient if the unit needs to accommodate furniture, though it works fine for just moving boxes. We can help you choose the right size; we recommend giving us a call so we can discuss your specific storage needs together.
What can be stored?
You can store the same types of items in our rental units as you would in an attic storage cage, such as:
Clothing, furniture, and dishes
Bicycles, sports equipment, tools, and car tires
Other dry, odorless items
You can also store items like lawnmowers or motorcycles, provided the fuel tank has been completely drained.

Prohibited items include, among others:
Explosive and highly flammable substances (e.g., paints, oils, gas cylinders, and detergents)
Weapons, ammunition, and fireworks
Foodstuffs and organic products (unless properly protected against pests).
When and how can I access the storage unit?
24/7, every day of the year; there are no restrictions.
How are security and locking handled?
Our facilities feature access control, video surveillance covering every corner, and remote sensors for monitoring humidity and temperature. We provide Abloy keys for your unit; however, for the indoor units in Riihimäki, you need to supply your own lock (we provide the key for the main entrance).
How quickly can I start using the storage unit?
Usually on the same or the next day after contacting us. Get in touch to arrange a time; we offer flexible scheduling, including evenings.
Can I change the storage unit size during the contract period?
Yes. If you find you need more or less space, you can usually switch to another available unit size free of charge and without hassle during the contract term.
Insurance for stored goods
Each tenant is personally responsible for the property kept in their storage unit. We recommend checking the coverage provided by your home insurance policy for stored items with your insurance company.
How is the rent paid?
You will receive a monthly invoice from us; we recommend setting up e-invoicing so that the rent is charged automatically, saving you the trouble of having to think about it.
Unauthorized presence or overnight stays in the storage areas are prohibited.
How much does it cost to rent a small storage unit?
A four-square-meter unit starts at €55/month, depending on current offers.
An eight-square-meter unit starts at €131.25, with larger units offering a lower price per square meter; our largest unit is 25 square meters.
Tip: Prices in the capital region are higher than in smaller towns. If you don’t need to visit the storage unit every week, a round trip of just over an hour can effectively earn you a good hourly wage in savings.

Rental terms
- The rental agreement is valid until further notice. The minimum contract length is two (2) months.
- The contract can be started on any day of the calendar month.
- The rental deposit is two (2) months’ rent or another agreed amount.
- €100 will be charged for a lost key.
- The tenant is obliged to notify the landlord of any address and/or telephone number changes without delay.
- The tenant takes care of his own garbage and waste.
- At the end of the lease, the space must be clean and empty. A cleaning fee is charged for the emptying and cleaning of an uncleaned space, according to the costs incurred, the minimum charge is €200.
- Storage of goods in outdoor areas is prohibited.
- The notice period is next full month when the lessee terminates the lease agreement and 3 months when the lessor terminates the lease agreement.
- In case of breach of contract, the lessor has the right to terminate the contract immediately and collect compensation from the lessee for any costs and inconveniences.
- The lease agreement is subject to the Act on Renting Commercial Apartments (LHVL 482/95).
